Ubisoft finally fixes this horrible bug on PS5

Since their passage on PS5, many players have been complaining for months about a very annoying bug on Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. As soon as they launch the game, it displays untimely flickers making the adventure in Victorian London very unpleasant. Today, Ubisoft is finally rolling out a fix.

While waiting for the release of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, some fans of the saga have embarked on a licensing marathon. The idea is far from absurd, knowing that the next opus promises to be a return to basics for Ubisoft. Also, Syndicate holds a special place in the hearts of longtime fans. If it is far from being the most appreciated episode, it is the last representative of the traditional formula, before Origins comes to upset the sacred recipe of the French publisher.

Unfortunately, for the past few months, the experience has been completely ruined for many players. Indeed, many of them have since gotten their hands on the PS5, and are therefore taking advantage of the console’s backward compatibility to relaunch the “old” game from 2015, released on PS4. Only here, the latter encounters some problems on the machine. On the forums, the messages are linked to report a flickering problem, like small flashes of light repeatedly.

Suffice to say that Syndicate was truly unplayable for many months. If the opus has since been put away in the closet by the majority of players, the fact remains that the thing was very annoying for those concerned. It will therefore have been necessary to wait until February 23 for Ubisoft to take matters into their own hands. Today, the publisher announced on Twitter the deployment of a new patch for the game.

This should definitely solve the problem. Note that this is an update for the PS4 game, as it does not have an existing PS5 port. In fact, if you encountered this same bug on the old gen console, this patch should also make it disappear. The update is already available.
