Use a projector of only €100 as a 300-inch TV

Projectors used to make a lot of noise and their light level was so low that you needed to be completely in the dark to see anything clearly. Now that has changed a lot. You don’t need something for €1,500 for its quality to be acceptable. In addition to the fact that its necessary distance to make a large screen has also been reduced, just having 2 meters available between where you place it and where you want it to be seen, is enough.

Advantages and disadvantages

First of all, its main advantage we already know what it is, turning a small space into a movie theater due to the potential it has in terms of creating huge screens. In addition to having a Smart TV directly by coupling a Fire TV or other device. You do not need to change television if we want to see Netflix in a big way. Just like being able to watch the current television channels with any DTT app.

We will also have the option of directly connecting a computer or mobile via Bluetooth or WiFi and transmitting what we want without cables.

It depends on your budget you can buy one projector or another. From €100 you have options as it is, very acceptable in terms of noise levels and quality, although if your economy allows it (since you are going to save a lot compared to buying a TV) I would go for something between €200-€300. Not at all a professional projector of +500€, it is unnecessary if what you want is to put it in your house. Unless you need to set up an impressive movie theater, this would not be the case.

A projector like the first one I have mentioned (this one) would have great benefits for less than €100. Its brightness level would be 9,000 lumens, with FullHD quality and up to 300-inch screen. In addition to that you could hang it on the ceiling or simply support it on a closet or shelf. It weighs hardly anything and you wouldn’t need a screen either, you could project directly onto a uniform, light-colored wall.

So far they are all advantages, right? Lower price, good inches, wireless connection, easy to store and takes up little space, no antenna cables or holes in the wall… However, it also has its drawbacks.

On the one hand, the best way to see a screen that is emitted by light is precisely when there is little light in the room. It is true that we can enjoy our projector even during the day, but if you plan to put it in a very sunny room and watch it as if it were a 4k TV, forget it, think about this and where you will put it to see if it interests you.

In terms of noise, they are much quieter than before, but that does not mean that they do not emit noise when working, although with the necessary playback volume it does not have to be noticed, apart from the fact that you can connect your headphones to hear what is emitted.

And in terms of connection they are very good, but at the same time you always depend on it. If you don’t have Wi-Fi at that moment or anything downloaded, you won’t be able to access anything, neither watch Online TV nor watch Netflix or anything. Although this is easily solvable if you think about it ahead of time. You can even take movies on a flash drive and connect it from anywhere.

If these negative points do not affect you, you already know, your next purchase should be a projector. At least I don’t regret doing it.
