The Last of Us, on HBO, hopefully very soon
Undoubtedly, the series that I am personally waiting for. That when I first found out it was being done, I thought please, no, they’ll do what they always do.
But then you start to hear that HBO is in chargethat Peter Pascal (Mandalorian, Narcos, etc.) Y Bella Ramsey (the legendary Lyanna Mormont of Game of Thrones) star in it and that Neil Druckmanwho wrote and directed the game, also participates in the writing of the 10 episodes commissioned for the first season… along with Craig Mazin, from the series Chernobyl.
So the anticipation, the hype, it is real. I didn’t mean to, but it’s real.
Fallout, the future Amazon series
It doesn’t even have an official title yet, but Bethesda itself, the company behind the legendary falloutannounced that Amazon will make a series based on the game.
It still remains, because it is in the early development stage, but has behind the creators of wetworld. Excellent news for some, not so much for others like me, for whom the series left him rather cold.
But nevertheless, they promise to respect the tone of the game and there could be no better starting point. It’s early to say anything, so let’s see if they don’t screw up.
Netflix’s Resident Evil series
Let’s see, I don’t expect anything from this Netflix adaptation, considering that none of the six films based on the legendary video game saga of resident Evil worth. But who knows.
lance reddick (which we know from series like The wire and movies like the saga John Wick) is the actor in front. His argument seems to navigate two timelinesbefore the T virus and after, when it has already turned many people like me into zombies.
We’ll see, but it’s the one I have the least hope for, so it’s also likely to disappoint me the least. And yes, there is also the series Halobut we will see when we can see it in Spain and where.
As you can see, there are more reasons to wait for the next series based on video games than to rush to see the ones that already exist. Let’s see how everything is, I imagine that at least one of the three future series that we have discussed will be good. Truth? Truth…?
