After several weeks of waiting since Xiaomi first hinted at its next high-end smartphones, these will finally hit the market soon as of the end of this week.
Last month, Xiaomi officially announced a conference on December 1, 2022 for the launch of the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro, its brand new high-end smartphones. However, the day before China has learned of the death of its former president Jiang Zemin, which has led the country to declare national mourning.
The events of all smartphone manufacturers have therefore been postponed by at least a week, and it was therefore expected to see the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro arrive in the next few days. Xiaomi has not officially announced a new date for the conference, but official images published on the manufacturer’s online stores have already sold the wick.
Xiaomi’s next high-end smartphones arrive this Sunday
On the new Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro posters published on the official website, we can read the date of December 11, 2022, or next Sunday. The manufacturer probably did not change the time of its conference, since this is still scheduled for 12 p.m. French time. In total, the conference should last more than 2 hours, if not 3. Xiaomi is used to making its events long, since many products will be presented on the same day.
In addition to the Xiaomi 13, we recall that the event will be also the opportunity for Xiaomi to unveil MIUI 14, the new version of its overlay for smartphones. This promises to be more fluid than ever, but above all to put an end to advertisements as well as pre-installed applications.
The Chinese manufacturer will also present a whole bunch of new products. We will find for example the new Xiaomi Watch S2, Xiaomi Buds 4 wireless headphones, but also the manufacturer’s very first compact PC. The latter will have the difficult task of competing with Apple’s Mac mini, or even the Mac Studio. It remains to be seen if the latter will prove powerful enough to overshadow Apple. Xiaomi is also expected to present other products for its ecosystem.
