Zyxel brings the firewall of large companies to SMEs

Zyxel wants to bring to SMEs all the power in managing their network that large companies enjoy, so that without giving up the most advanced technology on the market, they can undertake an investment according to their possibilities.

To achieve this, the manufacturer has just presented its new series of Firewalls USG FLEX Ha new line of high-performance devices that incorporate features that we usually only find in firewalls that target the big account, As they now move to a multicore configuration, which allows this new generation to provide hardware support for each of the services.

Other interesting features is the inclusion of VPN (IKEv2/EAP and SSL VPN)unified threat management and increased speed, with options that start at 1 Gb, go up to 10 Gb, offering companies ample capacity to adapt to their growing network demands and with the ability to support up to 2,500 devices connected simultaneously.

Some models in the series include Power over Ethernet (PoE) options, with power up to 30W, to enable sufficient connectivity and power to service 5G routers or even WiFi6E access points, which can simplify installation in many spaces.

In the field of security, the manufacturer joins the trend of incorporating AI algorithms as a way to counteract possible threats, trusting in Nebula Cloud, its cloud intelligence solution, which, as announced, is prepared to identify suspicious behavior.

The USG FLEX H series includes six models to meet the versatile requirements of SMEs. The integrated version includes a one-year Gold Security Pack license, which covers services such as sandboxing, reputation filter, Nebula Pro Pack and SecuReporter, among others.

Growth in 2024 and expansion of the Canal program

In addition to introducing its new line of firewalls, Zyxel has announced a slight expansion of its channel program. In this sense, along with the traditional Ally, Silver and Gold categories, the new certification is born Authorized and which will be granted automatically to all distributors who register on their ZAP portal, benefiting from a 2% discount on the official price list.

In addition, the incentives have been expanded in this new USG FLEX H range, with discounts of 10% on two-year license agreements, and 15% if the agreement is for three years. On the other hand, it has also been announced that the minimum purchase per category to be an MSP will be €1,000/year.

As for 2024, Gonzalo Echevarría, Zyxel’s country manager for Iberia, has highlighted that he expects to register strong growth in both the industrial sector and the educational segment, taking an estimated growth of 15% as a target for the region.
