3 series, 2 documentaries and 1 movie you must see this November

The one prior to December is usually interesting in streaming catalogs: you usually enjoy good premieres and even returns of powerful ongoing series without the Christmas theme flooding everything. This is what we like the most about the HBO Max service for this month.

Three series to consider

We start with the most powerful, Now available in fact (since Tuesday) in the service. We refer to The Head, a thriller that will have a second season in December and that HBO has finally hunted for its catalog after going through Orange and Disney +. It is a TV series that has received very good reviews from the specialized press and in which a well-known face in our country participates: Álvaro Morte (The professor in La Casa de Papel). Created by Álex and David Pastor, we move to a station in Antarctica where a group of scientists from different countries meet to keep the base running during the 6 months that the polar night lasts. However, in the middle of winter, the station will stop communicating with the outside world.

Another interesting premiere is that of Trust me. This series focuses on a teenager with undiagnosed depression and anxiety who faces a severe blow that will turn everything upside down. It is a British title that could be placed along the lines of for 13 reasons and generate a lot of social debate. You must not lose sight of it. It premieres on day 7.

Finally, if you are a fan of Supernatural, you have to see The Winchesters. We go like this a few years ago to learn about the origins of the famous brothers Dean and Sam Winchester through the story in which their parents, John and Mary, met. The three first episodes are now available in the catalog.

Two documentaries that are worth watching

Documentary fan? Aim over here. First of all, fashion lovers will enjoy like children with the kingdom of dreams. It is a trip to the backstage, to the best kept secrets in the sector with testimonials from some of the figures who helped create the haute couture empire from 1990 to 2010. Its managers are the same ones who made the documentary mqueen, BAFTA nominated and so well received. It premiered yesterday Wednesday day 2.

Those who like other types of themes will probably find what they need to entertain themselves with Osel, which tells the incredible story of Osel Hita, known as the “Spanish Lama boy”. Directed by Lucas Figueroa and narrated by the protagonist himself (yes, by Osel), it is available from today, day 3.

A film that does not leave indifferent

If you like the world of cinema, surely you have not been oblivious to all the controversy that has surrounded Do not worry dear. The open war between its protagonist, the charismatic Florence Pugh, and the director, Olivia Wilde, is an open secret, where there has been no lack of criticism in interviews, rudeness and second-hand accusations. If we add to that the presentation in Venice of the film, in which a video went viral because it seemed that its male lead, Harry Styles, was spitting on Chris Pine (another actor in the cast), we have a real explosive cocktail that It has served to talk even more about the tape.

On the plot itself, we meet Alice (Pugh) and Jack (Styles), who live in Victoria, an experimental city created by a company where men who work for the top secret “Project Victoria” live with your families. However, inconsistencies soon begin to appear that will make Alice question what exactly she is doing there.

The criticism has been quite uneven (some think it’s a disaster, others that it’s quite original), but at least everyone agrees that Pugh is wonderful – we didn’t doubt it. You will have to see it and decide for yourself. You have it available from November 7.
