Samsung just got noticed on Twitter. The South Korean giant has just praised Find X, Oppo’s foldable smartphone and direct competitor to its Galaxy Z Fold 3.
Last December, Oppo unveiled the Find N, a foldable smartphone built around a 7.1-inch foldable display. Convertible into a small tablet, the phone is intended to compete with the Galaxy Z Fold 3, the smartphone with a foldable screen from Samsung. It stands out thanks to a quality 120 Hz screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC with 12 GB of RAM and 33-watt Super VOOC charging.
Shortly after its release, the Find N was showered with praise. The specialized press was charmed by the alternative offered by the Chinese brand. During our handling of the Find N, we were also seduced by the foldable smartphone, despite some imperfections. The terminal was even elected best Android smartphone of the MWC 2022 by the jury of the Global Mobile Awards, one of the most prestigious distinctions in the mobile telephony sector.
Samsung finds the Oppo Find N amazing
To everyone’s surprise, Samsung also praised Oppo’s foldable smartphone on his Twitter account. The official Samsung Mobile US account reacted to a video showing the Find N with these words: “Pretty amazing!”. The message is punctuated with enthusiastic emojis.
The account was reacting to footage posted by Ryan Fenwick, a member of the global communications team for Oppo and OnePlus. The framework was for “all recent comments suggesting today’s Android smartphones are all the same and boring”.
It looks like Samsung Mobile didn’t post this tweet by mistake. Several days after publication, the message is still visible on the social network. We imagine that the person in charge wanted welcome Oppo’s initiativewhich stands out in a sector launched by Samsung with the Galaxy Fold.

Moreover, it remains particularly rare for Samsung, like any brand, to praise a competing product. This is all the more surprising given that the Find X is a direct rival to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 3. Both devices box in the same category.
