If something has become clear to us when we see The House of the Dragon is that time management in spinoff of Game of Thrones it goes, as the classic would say, «at full milk» so it causes that from one episode to another things change radically. So much so, that we learned about that advance of the years through some phrase that someone is heard saying in a meeting with King Viserys I or because some character, a child for example, has gone from crawling to being a teenager.
As they have grown!
Effectively, The House of the Dragon it’s like those family events where attendees see each other from Easter to Ramos and the first thing they say when they see their cousin’s son is, “Oh, mother! But how big he is.” Well, the same thing is happening in the HBO series, which we must prepare for one of the longest time jumps that we will see in the first season: the one that will take place from the sixth episode.
It will be there when we really notice those changes, in some main roles, although along the way we have seen others that we could consider as less important but that as the plot progresses they will take a little more prominence. So here we leave you all those changes that you are going to be able to see in the series (some practically from now on).
danger spoiler: eye, from here we comment on some events that have not yet happened in the series and that you might not want to know. You are warned.
Rhaenyra Targaryens
This is, of course, the most important change. The transition from being a teenage girl to a woman, so we will surely miss Milly Alock, the actress who gives life to the heir to the Iron Throne. In her place will be Emma D’Arcy, who you can see in the image that you have just below next to the future Alicent.

Alicent Hightower
This will be another of the characters that we will be shocked not to see with the face of Emily Carey in the role of wife of King Viserys I, mother of princes, daughter of the Hand and close friend of Rhaenyra. But time passes for everyone. So the new interpreter will be Diana Princeas you can see just above.
Aegon and Helena Targaryen

The two children of King Viserys I with Alicent Hightower are growing up and with them the threat that Rhaenyra may see herself out of the Iron Throne that belongs to her. So they will take shape as a new power to watch out for in the series. Logically, in the first episodes they were played by children, babies, but now the responsibility will pass to Ty Tennant in the case of Aegon, and Evie Allen in the case of Helaena.
Aemond Targaryens

This new son of King Viserys I with Alicent Hightower surely you do not know him because will appear in the sixth episode when the time jump occurs Almost a decade old, already eight years old, played by a boy although, as the series progresses, we will see him played by Ewan Mitchell. Write down his name because with him many moments of glory and evil await us in the Daemon style.
Baela and Rhaena Targaryen
The daughters of Daemon Targaryen and Laena Velaryon will also appear during the ten year jump in episode 6, and we will know them already with approximately eight years so we will also end up seeing them grow and get older. In the case of Baela, she will play the role of a child Shani Smethurst, and a young adult Bethany Antonia. Rhaena, for her part, will be played by Eva Ossei-Gerning as a teenager and Phoebe Campbell as an adult.
Laenor and Laena Velaryon

The children of Corlys Velaryon have not had a relevant role during the first episodes except for the moment in which they offer King Viserys I to marry Laena (barely 10 years old) and Laenor to marry Rhaenyra. Now, over the years (and chapters) the two brothers will have much more weight until it becomes a power to be reckoned with… will it conspire against those who occupy the Iron Throne or not?
Jacaerys and Lucerys Velaryon
Rhaenyra will also have children, as a result of her marriage to Laenor, so it is also time for the children to go from small to adolescents and adults with new actors. In the case of Jacaerys He will be played by Leo Hart as a young man and Harry Collett as an older man, and in Lucerys’s we will first see Harvey Sadler and then Elliot Grihault.
