AECOC considers grandparents the true influencers against food waste

The event will coincide with International Food Loss and Waste Awareness Day and, for the first time, will pay homage to the true influencers in the use of food: abusersour elders.

The bell abusers wants to highlight the experience and wisdom of our elders in the kitchen to encourage others to take advantage of every last crumb of each food. To give visibility to abusers, AECOC organizes a contest in which they encourage families to send a video to their elders explaining their favorite recipe to use with a maximum duration of one minute.

The video must be original and unpublished, that is, it must not have been published in any medium or support; and must not have previously received any award or recognition in another national and/or international contest or competition. The video must not represent or allude to any commercial brand and can be sent until September 15.

The jury of the AECOC “abufluencers” contest against Food Waste will be made up of: Kilian Zaragozá (co-founder of Nobody without their daily ration); Ana Lorenzo (director of communication and public affairs of Grupo IFA), Montserrat Arias (CEO and founder of the communication agency Bemypartner) and Nuria de Pedraza (director of communication and institutional relations of AECOC).

The winner will be awarded with a lunch or dinner for two people in one of the restaurants participating in the edition of the book “Stars against waste” edited by AECOC or, failing that, in a restaurant with a Michelin star, to be determined, according to the location of the winner, courtesy of Grupo IFA. A unique experience for the winner as the Abufluencer against waste 2022.
