The III FEINDEF Foundation Awards for Entrepreneurship, held a few days ago, seek to identify those recently created startups capable of providing disruptive solutions to the main challenges of the defense and security sector, with the development of new dual-use technologies.
The general secretary of INCIBE, Carla Redondo, has awarded the second prize, endowed with 10,000 euros, to GENAQ for its capacity for research, development and industrialization of atmospheric water generators. The company offers the market a wide variety of water generators, as well as custom developments for specific needs.
Julián García Vargas, president of the FEINDEF Foundation, has awarded the first prize to FOSSA Systemsa startup focused on satellite connectivity through the IoT through the use of small satellites.
The objective of these awards is to encourage the development of new technology companies, support innovative talent and contribute to the deployment of the innovative strategy of the Ministry of Defence. “With these awards and the Innova for Def & Sec space, we want to connect the entrepreneurial ecosystem with the Defense sector to generate opportunities for both parties and make our industry benefit from this rapprochement process”Garcia Vargas has finished.
