Amazon is taking the rollout of Amazon Luna quite calmly. Let us remember that the service was announced in September 2020 and that a month later access to it was opened for the first time to a small group of users, all in the United States, out of the enormous number of people who signed up to participate in said test. . Thus, we expected that at some point in 2021 the company would open access in a public beta phase or even start marketing it.
However, this was not the case, we had to wait until March 2022 for that step to take place and, also, to find out about their subscription plans. Let’s remember that Amazon Luna, the cloud gaming service from Jeff Bezos’s company and which until now was only available in the United States, offers two subscription levels. The first is moon+, which is priced at $10 per month and allows access to more than 100 games of different genres and developers. The second is Ubisoft+, which costs $14.99 per month and gives access to more than 100 games from the French developer, including its latest releases. Currently, Amazon Prime users can try Luna+ for free for a limited time by requesting an invite from the Amazon Luna website.
Now, almost a year after that launch, the company has finally decided to expand the reach of Amazon Luna, making it available in three new countries, Germany, Canada and the United Kingdomas we can see in a tweet published in the official account of the service.

This is what we can read, about the Amazon Luna offer for these countries, in the official statement:
Amazon Prime members can play a rotating selection of games at Luna at no additional cost. Prime members can also link their Ubisoft Connect account to Luna and play select Ubisoft PC games they already own on their Fire TV or other compatible devices.
Games on Moon
Luna offers a selection of games to choose from for different types of players. Whether it’s casual games, retro classics, or AAA titles, there’s always something interesting to play! Subscriptions available today on Luna include:
Β· Moon+: Luna+ gives customers access to a collection of games across all genres: action, adventure, classics, and more. Our largest and most diverse collection of games, Luna+, features fan favorites including Beach Buggy Racing 2: Hot Wheels Edition and Spongebob: Battle for Bikini Bottom β Rehydrated and Resident Evil 2. Luna+ subscribers can also connect their Ubisoft accounts and play selected Ubisoft PC games they already own on Luna.
Β· Ubisoft+ Multi Access: Ubisoft’s subscription service includes access to fan-favorite AAA titles, including the Rainbow Six Extraction, Assassin’s Creed, Watch Dogs and Far Cry franchises, and more.
Β· Jackbox Games – Only available on Luna, the Jackbox Games subscription includes popular hits like Quiplash, Trivia Murder Party, and Drawful.
However, the most interesting thing about this movement is that, in addition to Canada, which is usually the choice of many technology companies when expanding their services from the United States, is that Amazon Luna has decided to skip the Atlantic and reach the old continent, confirming that, at their pace, they do maintain their international expansion plans. How long will it take to see it in Spain? It would be great if it arrived sometime in 2023, but given the pace set by Amazon, I highly doubt it.
