Andalusia extends the term of aid for the digitization of SMEs

The Junta de Andalucía has been extended until March 31 the deadline for submitting aid for the digital transformation of SMEs, about in-kind incentives that seek to promote the modernization of the region’s businesses in the digital age through personalized consultancies. Currently, more than 200 companies are already immersed in the digitization process, thanks to these aids, 80% co-financed by Feder funds.

With this expansion, the Digital Agency of Andalusia seeks to help as many companies as possible to gain competitiveness by taking advantage of the opportunities offered by new technologies. To this end, the program makes specialized consulting services available to SMEs and freelancers in the region, at zero cost, to define a digital plan, select the most appropriate tools for each business and, above all, accompany them during the implementation of the actions. more priority.

Recently the number of actions addressed has been increased, with a special focus on cybersecurity, and on enabling and disruptive technologies, such as artificial intelligence, additive manufacturing technology, service robotics or augmented reality. In addition to continuing to contemplate the basic business needs such as the zero paper strategy, web presence, geolocation, electronic invoicing, data management and digital marketing.

The application period will remain open until the end of March. customer relationship consulting, a service whose objective is focused on helping to boost sales and improve the relationship with customers. For five months, SMEs will be able to strengthen their presence on the Internet and social networks, learn to attract and retain their target audience with marketing tools, and implement technological solutions that help them better understand and manage their clientele.

Boost to cybersecurity

With this line of aid, the Digital Agency of Andalusia not only seeks to encourage small and medium-sized companies to address their digitization so that they improve their competitiveness and adapt to current market needs, but also help them to do so safely. Therefore, in line with one of its strategic axes, this program includes a specific service focused on promoting Cybersecuritywith which the SME will be able to know the degree of digital security of its company and take the appropriate measures to protect it.

These incentives can access any self-employed or small and medium-sized company with less than 250 workers that has activity in Andalusia and are granted on a first-come, first-served basis. So far, more than 625 applications have been received, of which 32% are already immersed in this advice that guides and accompanies them on their path to digitization.

The most active provinces both in number of requests and in SMEs that enjoy the service are Malaga and Seville, which concentrate practically half in both cases. However, applicant and beneficiary companies from all the provinces of Andalusia have registered. The call has a global budget of 2.9 million euros, of which more than half has already been committed.
