Apple TV + grows but its rivals also do it at a higher rate

It is a service that is based on quality, and although the catalog has grown considerably in the last two years, the platform is still struggling to achieve a market share that represents a milestone. New data from JustWatch reveals that Apple TV + recorded a small growth in the last quarter, while its competitor Disney + has been going strong in a big way.

The streaming service of Disney was among the fastest growing in 58 of 64 active markets. HBO Max had positive results in the United States, while Netflix remains the world’s leading video platform. In 91% of the countries that offer Disney + or Hotstar, Disney + has grown the most of any streaming service in the last two years.

Apple TV + it has only 4% of the share of the local market analyzed in the period of the third quarter of 2021. This represents 1% growth compared to the second quarter, when Apple had only a 3% market share in the video streaming platforms segment. Netflix ranks first with over 30% share, while Amazon Prime Video ranks second with 20%.
