With all the cinecomics set to debut in the course of 2022, the studios will soon start pounding us with relentless marketing campaigns to remind us that (maybe) it’s time to go back to the cinema. One of the biggest and most anticipated DC cinecomics coming up next year is Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom), outgoing on December 16, 2022, and, although there is still a year left until its premiere, today Warner Bros has released the official synopsis of the film.
The official synopsis of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom
When an ancient power is unleashed, Aquaman must forge an unfortunate alliance with an unexpected ally to protect Atlantis, and the world, from irreversible destruction.
I know, it’s not a lot and certainly it’s a synopsis that doesn’t provide new details on the plot of the film, which filming recently wrapped.
What we do know for sure is that returning from the first film (here our review) we will obviously find Jason Mamoa, but also Patrick Wilson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Amber Heard, Temuera Morrison and Randall Park.
David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick handled the script for the new Aquaman, while James Wan was once again directed.
