ASUS ExpertCenter PN65, new mini PC with Intel Meteor Lake

Although Intel has not yet launched Meteor Lake, we are already seeing the announcement of equipment that mounts this new generation of processors, and the ASUS ExpertCenter PN65 is one of them. It is a mini PC that maintains all the keys of the ExpertCenter line, something that is noticeable in the simplicity and functionality that this equipment displays, and also in its design.

The ASUS ExpertCenter PN65 measures 130 x 120 x 58mm, and as we anticipate will be configured with Intel Meteor Lake processors. This new generation of CPUs is manufactured in the intel node 4, and maintains the division into high-performance cores and high-efficiency cores. The first are based on redwood cove architectureand the seconds in the Crestmont architecture.

ASUS has also confirmed that this new mini PC can be configured with DDR5 memory at 5,600 MHz, and that in its most powerful version it can mount Intel Meteor Lake processors with up to 14 cores and 20 processing threads, divided into 6 high-performance cores and 8 high-efficiency cores. The most striking thing about these new processors, apart from the leap in the process and the architecture changes, is that they will come with VPUs that will offer hardware AI acceleration.

These units specialized in artificial intelligence will allow us to access new features which, in the near future, will improve the performance of different applications, and also from Microsoft’s Windows 11 operating system, which is already preparing to take advantage of this new AI-focused hardware.

ASUS ExpertCenter PN65 series supports up to 64 GB of DDR5 memory, has two M.2 2280 slots for PCIe Gen4 SSDs, it has space for a 2.5-inch storage drive and has a wide range of connectors, including a 2.5 GbE Ethernet port, two HDMI outputs, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C connectors, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports 2 Type-A and a 3.5mm jack for audio input and output. It will also come with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, thanks to the Intel AX210 wireless network card (optional).
