AYANEO KUN

After a few months of mystery and without obtaining much information about it, AYANEO has finally presented its highly anticipated AYANEO KUNa new model that supposedly came to mark a new level in the company’s catalog and that, judging by the images and the first specifications, it seems that they are not far off the mark.

The most complete portable console of the moment

We are experiencing a series of endless releases around the new portable console format with PC lame. We’ve enjoyed the great Steam Deck, we’ve seen amazing AYANEO releases, and recently we were surprised by the release of ASUS and their spectacular ROG ALLY. All the proposals have features and functionalities that make them unique, these differences mean that each one has its very defined user profile. But, what if a console managed to bring together the best of all models?

That is the impression we have with the new AYANEO KUN, since we feel that the new product of the brand is the meeting of all the strong points that stand out in the models of the competition, with the peculiarity of including even more technology with which take a fairly important leap in the user experience.

Big screen

To begin with, the screen reaches a size of nothing less than 8.4 inches, and these large dimensions have made it possible to place one of the components that had most assured improvement: the battery. According to the first information, the battery of the AYANEO KUN will have a capacity of 75Whwhich makes it the most capable Windows laptop of the moment.

This is a very interesting detail, since we could reach quite long game times compared to what we are used to seeing in the market, however, the growth in inches of the screen could also have an impact, so we are looking forward to seeing what they have achieved get in this regard.

Webcam for Windows Hello

The introduction of Windows in this type of device entails a rather uncomfortable problem, and it is none other than the logins. Fingerprint readers have fixed some issues, but they’re still not perfect when it comes to getting an experience that allows you to press the power button to play directly.

For this reason the manufacturer has included a front camera with infrared sensor to include a facial recognition system compatible with Windows Hello and thus achieve a fast and secure start of the console. The interesting thing is that we can probably also use this camera for video conferences and live streaming, so the possibilities are now multiplied.

big but comfortable

Although the size of this device has grown a lot, AYANEO has sought to offer the greatest possible comfort, and for this it has adjusted some details in the grip and control of the console. For starters, the grips now include rubber finishes to get more grip on the device, and as far as the button panel is concerned, the new size of the device has allowed it to include larger buttons with which to press more comfortably and with more intention.

But if there is something that has caught our attention, it is the incorporation of two touchpads on the front face of the device, something extremely characteristic of the Valve console and that now also comes in the AYANAEO solution. These controls are also completed with the presence of four customizable buttons on the back of the device.
