Bel-Air: the teaser trailer of Willy’s drama reboot series: The Prince of Bel-Air is online

Eventually the first teaser trailer for the drama reboot series also arrived Willy: The Prince of Bel-Air, simply titled Bel-Air, whose debut on Peacock is expected in the course of 2022.

The teaser is titled “My Kingdom” and focuses on the character of Jabari Banks as Will, as he tells the story of his life as it was turned upside down and how he embraces the “new realm” he has found himself in.

It’s all very strange when compared to the decidedly more light-hearted Willy: the prince of Bel-Air, and you can take a look at it below:

The cast of the series will be led by Jabari Banks, in the role of Will, and will be joined by Adrian Holmes (At That Age, V Wars) as Phillip Banks; Cassandra Freeman (The Enemy Within, Atlanta) will play Vivian Banks; Olly Sholotan (Run Hide Fight, Evolution of Nate Gibson) as Carlton Banks; Coco Jones (Let it Shine, Vampires vs. The Bronx) as Hilary Banks; Akira Akbar (We Can Be Heroes, Captain Marvel) as Ashley Banks; Jimmy Akingbola (The Most Dangerous Game, In The Long Run) as Geoffrey; Jordan L. Jones (Rel, Snowfall) as Jazz; and Simone Joy Jones (The Chair, What If) as Lisa.

As we know, the new series, already renewed for a second season more than a year in advance, is set in the USA in modern times. Bel-Air will be “A drama series that leans on an original premise: Will’s complicated journey from the streets of West Philadelphia to the gated mansions of Bel-Air. With a reinvented vision, Bel-Air will dive deeper into inherent conflicts, emotions and prejudices that were impossible to fully explore in a 30-minute sitcom format, while still offering swagger and fun nods to the original show. “

The episodes of this new series will last one hour, to allow for a wider narrative than the original show.

Original series creators Andy and Susan Borowitz are also executive producers on the project, as are original series producers Quincy Jones and Benny Medina. Other executive producers include Terence Carter, James Lassiter, Miguel Melendez and Malcolm Spellman along with TJ Brady and Rasheed Newson, who will also serve as showrunners.

Bel-Air will be streamed exclusively on Peacock and should arrive in 2022 (we still don’t know anything regarding the Italian market).
