As you may know, all Teslas manufactured since 2018 carry a small army of cameras. They are used in particular to record videos of the surroundings of the vehicle. Useful for capturing incidents on the road or other notable events.

As the manufacturer states on its official website, videos are stored on a locally formatted USB stick. No clips are transmitted to Tesla. Of course, that doesn’t stop users from sharing the craziest moments recorded on the road via their Tesla’s cameras.

Recently, we had the right to the unfortunate crash of this user which occurred only a few hours after recovering his brand new Model X. But the clip of the day goes beyond anything we’ve seen so far. User @Anoop_Khatra shared on Twitter the latest images captured by the front camera of his Tesla.

The Tesla immortalizes the flight of a KIA on the highway

As he was driving quietly on the central lane of an American highway, a KIA Soul overtook him on the left on the fast lane before falling back in front of him. But without warning, the wheel of the pick-up located next to the KIA comes off and goes straight under the small city car.

As you can see on the video, the KIA flies away several meters from the ground before falling and rolling over (and incidentally being hit again by the cursed wheel). Fortunately, more fear than harm since the owner of the KIA emerged unscathed from this gliding flight.

Yesterday I witnessed and recorded the most insane car crash, you can see Autopilot swerve and avoid the tire that was slamming into me,” writes the user on the social network.

As Anoop mentions on Twitter, this clip also demonstrates the effectiveness of Autopilot to carry out emergency maneuvers. Here, we can clearly see the system reacting to the moment of impact to avoid the numerous projectiles and debris coming from the damaged KIA.
