The case manufacturers have done their thing again, and this time they have let us see the final design of the Galaxy S23 family which, as most of our readers will know, will be made up of the standard model, the “Plus” model. and the “Ultra” model. The latter will keep the legacy of the Galaxy Note series aliveand it will retain that more angular finish that already differentiated the Galaxy S22 Ultra from the rest of the models.
The cover image leaves no room for doubt, the most important change that Samsung will introduce in the Galaxy S23 series will be in the elimination of the island where the rear cameras were integrated, and that it appeared differentiated with a different color from that of the terminal’s chassis. This will make the finish cleaner and more uniform, and in general lines much more attractive and minimalist.
The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ will have a configuration of three rear cameras following that approach that we have said in the previous paragraph, and the Galaxy S23 Ultra will have a total of four rear cameras (the fifth circle would be dedicated to the laser autofocus system). We can also see in the filtered image the line that these three terminals will have, and the changes compared to the current generation will be minimal in that regard.
Both the standard model and the “Plus” model will maintain the rounded corners and the classic line of the Galaxy S family, while the Galaxy S23 Ultra will once again use a more angular design with pointed corners, typical of the Galaxy Note line. In short, beyond the removal of the islands in the first two models we do not see any major changes.
The big players in the smartphone sector have become accustomed to repeating designs for several years, so deep down this does not surprise us. Without going any further, Apple has recently launched the iPhone 14 and this is practically a carbon copy of the iPhone 13, and the only interesting innovation that the apple company has introduced with its new generation smartphones is in the elimination of the front notch in the “Pro” and “Pro Max” models.
Going back to Samsung, looking at the South Korean company’s track record we may not see a major design revamp. see you in a couple more generationsAt the very least, though there’s also the possibility that the giant will keep the current designs for longer and just gradually introduce small improvements, all with the aim of gradually refining its Galaxy S series.
If everything goes according to plan, the presentation of the Galaxy S23 will take place between the month of January and the month of February 2023, and its arrival on the market will take place shortly after. We are not clear which SoC Samsung plans to use for the European editions of this new generation of smartphones, but so far had been betting on the Exynos series.
