As of this writing, you may have already picked up the next God of War. Ragnarök, of its sweet name, is indeed available for pre-order since this morning, 10 am. If there is no doubt that many players have not even taken a look at the prices before taking out their wallets, it is still interesting to look into the subject, especially in an era where it is now normal to buy its PS5 games 80 € when they are released.

Without (any) surprise, God of War Ragnarök is one of them. On the PlayStation site, the PS5 standard edition can be found at €79.99. The PS4 version is sold at €69.99. So everything is going as planned on that side, but what about the special editions? Indeed when announcing the release date of the game, Sony hastened to reveal all the collector’s editions that will be offered to the most passionate players.

Count 230 € to buy the most expensive edition of God of War Ragnarok

And passion, it will be necessary to agree to buy these editions. Let’s start with the most affordable of all, namely the digital Deluxe, marketed at €89.99, which offers many cosmetic bonuses to the game as well as a digital artbook on its universe. Things get serious with the Collector’s Edition. Sony does not sell these special editions on its site, you have to take a look at the dealers.

Thus, in the United Kingdom, the Collector’s Edition can be purchased for the modest sum of 180 pounds. At this price, players get all the perks listed above in a box that also contains a replica Mjölnir, two sculptures of the Vanir twins, and a dwarf dice set. Finally, the Jötnar edition is for the bravest, since it costs 230 pounds.

She adds a vinyl containing two original songs from the game, a Draupnir ring, a map and a second set of dice and badges. The retailer indicates in particular that it is possible to “Go from full 4K resolution at a targeted speed of 30 frames per second to dynamic up-converted 4K resolution at a targeted speed of 60 frames per second”.

It goes without saying that these prices in pounds will probably be similar in euros, as is already the case for the standard editions of the game. If the pre-order does not appeal to you, all that remains is to wait for the official release this 9 November 2022.
