To say goodbye through the front door, it seems that the good old Henry wanted to go a step further and that is that, as we have learned thanks to a recent revelation, he has also been fully involved in coordinating all his fight scenes.

The Shadow Stunt Coordinator

We know that since the first season Herny Cavill has never wanted to use a double for the series. All the action scenes and fights that you see have therefore been recorded with the actor, who has not hesitated to prepare thoroughly to get into the role.

For this third season, he wanted to get a little more involved if possible and has ended up coordinating the fight scenes together with Wolfgang Stegemann. This stunt coordinator, in charge of managing precisely this task, has been the one who has revealed “the secret” in a recent interview:

It’s what a lot of people don’t know, they think the stunt team gets together and we start choreographing something and we show it to them. It is not like this. He is there from the beginning and giving all the feedback from him.

As collected in the middle Unilad, Steggemann and Cavill met before shooting to discuss and plan how to approach the scene and the narration, something that resembles “composing a song.” The leading actor was thus “deeply involved in the entire process” of creating fight scenes in The Witcher, not only planning and “designing” the combat but also taking into account the Camera movements and even the selection of shots, always looking for the correct angles and movement.

We don’t doubt that Cavill will have had a blast as a kid in the process of his final season as The Witcher.
