Honor 60 and Honor 60 Pro: Specifications and prices

Just yesterday we saw a fairly complete leak of the Honor 60 and Honor 60 Pro, and it was very curious because, as our regular readers will recall, it occurred one day before the official announcement of both terminals. His presentation took place today, as planned, and in the end that leak has turned out to be totally true.

The Chinese company, once Huawei’s second brand, has surprised us with two terminals that adopt a design that is clearly inspired by the Huawei P50 family. I do not speak without reasons, look, for example, on the rear island where the cameras of the Honor 60 and Honor 60 Pro are located, it is almost a carbon copy of what we saw in the latest top-of-the-range Huawei terminals, and we can do the same say of the front, where we have an all-screen finish with the camera integrated in a floating island that, in addition, is also located in a central position.

However, at the hardware level we find important differences, and that is that the Honor 60 and Honor 60 Pro are not top-of-the-range terminals. Its heart is formed by a Snapdragon 778G SoC, in the case of the first, and a Snapdragon 778G + SoC in the case of the second, which means that both fit within what we can consider as mid-high range.

If you are not clear about the differences between one and the other, quiet, they are not very bulky. The Snapdragon 778G + is only a slightly improved version of the Snapdragon 778 that maintains, in fact, the same count and type of cores at the CPU level, the same GPU and the 6nm node. The changes are therefore reduced to a simple increase in working speed of the high-performance cores, which rises from 2.4 GHz to 2.5 GHz, and from 2.2 GHz to 2.4 GHz, and the increase in frequency of the GPU, which is still an Adreno 642L.

The two terminals share, in addition to an almost identical line and design, the same quality of finishes. This is positive as they are built in metal and glass, two materials typical of premium terminals that, little by little, have been “falling” even from some high-end models for a simple matter of cost.
