Horizon Forbidden West invites itself into French metros

Pay attention, you might spot some original artwork in your subway station starting February 18 in honor of the release of Horizon Forbidden West.

Next February 18 is a day that PlayStation players keep in mind. On this date, Sony’s next hit will be released, Horizon Forbidden West. With its colorful and adventure-filled open world, the game already promises to transport us to a most shimmering universe. To celebrate this event release, Sony is planning a large-scale promotion of the game, and it is the French who will be able to take advantage of it.

The ultimate promo

Indeed, from February 18 to March 2, Parisians, Lille and Marseilles residents will be able to find new works of art related to the game in their metro stations. More specifically, these will be ephemeral art galleries that will take shape in very specific places in certain metro stations. Here are the different stations affected by this giant publicity stunt:

  • in Paris, on the platform of Gare Saint-Lazare station, on line 3
  • in Lille, in the corridor of Lille Flandres station
  • in Marseille, in the Rond-Point du Prado station, on line 2

A total of eight artists are participating in this event: Oskunk, Pikanoa, Chek, Star97, Fleur Blume and Kan, WD Wild Drawing and Simple G. Except for the last two, who will exhibit in Lille and Marseille respectively, the rest of the artists will be them stationed in Paris to express their creativity. For the moment, we don’t know what the galleries will look like, we just know that they will be inspired by the post-apocalyptic (but wonderful) world of Aloy and her companions.

Horizon Forbidden West is coming soon to PS4 and PS5

Of course, everything will be accessible free of charge by all travelers on the metro lines concerned, unlike the game which is available for pre-order. As a reminder, Horizon Forbiden West resumes the adventures of young Aloy, after she has foiled the plans of an artificial intelligence wishing for the imminent destruction of humanity.

In this second opus, eagerly awaited by the PlayStation community, the adventurer travels to the west of the country to meet new tribes, new machines, but also new enemies. She makes it her mission to save humanity a second time while investigating the technology of the ancients and the role of artificial intelligence Gaia in terraforming the current world.
