HP Z4 Rack G5, a workstation designed for creators and data scientists

HP has announced the launch of the 1U Z4 Rack G5 form factor rack workstation, designed for professionals dedicated to multimedia creation, as well as for scientists who have to work with large amounts of data and engineers. It offers a high computing density, at the same time as the necessary flexibility to be able to work remotely, from anywhere.

The HP Z4 Rack G5 is compatible with Nvidia’s new generation Ada HPUs: RTX 6000, RTX 5000, RTX 4500 and RTX 4000, as well as all other Z by HP platforms. Thanks to this, the station will have ample GPU memory with error-correcting code for rendering, data science, and engineering simulation.

Its fourth-generation Tensor Cores achieve model learning performance up to 5 times higher. Its architecture performance in inference compared to the previous generation Nvidia Ampere architecture, designed to accelerate content generation using generative AI, is also five times better.

In addition to the support for the aforementioned GPUs, it offers up to 24 cores on an Intel Zeon W-2400 CPU and up to 256 GB of DDR5 RAM. In case of needing more power, their owners have enough space to expand their capacities.

Thanks to its design and layout, the HP Z4 Rack G5 has optimal thermal performance. Even in compute-dense environments, allowing you to handle intensive workloads without reducing productivity. Optionally, it can be purchased with HP Anyware, which gives access to the workstation from any device, even with variable network connections.

On the other hand, it has the certificate for professional applications from the main providers in the market, and incorporates HP Wolf Security for Business, which offers protection even in the layers that are above and below the operating system.

Pablo Ugarte, General Manager of Personal Systems at HPhas highlighted HP’s collaboration with Nvidia, reflected in the compatibility of the HP Z4 Rack G5 with the company’s GPUs that «the HP engineering is developing some of the highest performing workstations possible for AI modeling, data science solutions, and machine learning. As workflows evolve, HP is evolving to meet the needs of today’s creators, engineers, and data scientists. We are extending our collaboration with NVIDIA through the NVIDIA Ada GPU architecture to leverage AI platforms more broadly while continuing to deliver seamless workflows, greater cost predictability, and the most sustainable PC portfolio. in the world that reaffirm our leadership in sustainability in the market«.
