The Huawei MateBook X 2021 is a new ultralight laptop that adopts an elegant and discreet design that, certainly, has a clear inspiration in Apple’s MacBook, specifically in the 12-inch model that the apple company launched some time ago.
The commitment to minimalism made by the Huawei MateBook X 2021 is total, and the truth is that it is successful, since in general the equipment has a quite attractive appearance. The keyboard has a end-to-end chassis extension, allowing you to make the most of the available space and expand the size of each key, which should translate into an optimal typing experience.
Also striking is the size of the touch pad and the screen borders, which are quite small. The Huawei MateBook X 2021 uses a 13 inch panel With a resolution of 3,000 x 2,000 pixels, it mounts eleventh generation Intel Core processors (Tiger Lake) and weighs less than 1 kilogram, making it one of the lightest notebooks that currently exist.
Specifically, the Huawei MateBook X 2021 comes with a Intel Core i5-1130G7, a chip configured with four cores and eight threads that offers a high IPC. It has an integrated Intel Xe (Gen12) GPU, and is accompanied by 16 GB of LPDDR4x memory at 3,733 MHz. The rest of its specifications are completed with a 512 GB PCIE NVMe SSD, it has a 42 Wh battery, it uses Wi-Fi. Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1, it has two USB Type-C connectors, it has a 3.5 mm jack, a “hidden” webcam in the keyboard area, which only emerges when we are going to use it, and it supports fast charging.
The screen is of the LPTS type, and has a 10-point touch interface, which means that we can interact directly with it using our fingers, as we would with a tablet or smartphone. The operating system that comes pre-installed is Windows 10, as expected, although at the moment the Huawei MateBook X 2021 is not available in Europe. Its launch has been limited to the Chinese market, but in principle nothing prevents Huawei from taking it to other countries. Its price to change, without taxes, would be about 1,208 euros.
