On the internet, especially on social networks, you will have seen several aesthetically very beautiful PC images with the particularity of showing plants inside. And the safest is that you have thought that it is a good idea so that your tower looks more beautiful. And we are not going to deny that several of these compositions attract a lot of attention. However, they are still constructions made in order to look good in the photo.
Why shouldn’t you put plants inside your tower?
There are several reasons why a functional PC with plants inside it can have performance problems, especially if we use natural plants and not plastic ones.
- The first of the problems is that electronic components and humidity do not get along at all and it is better to keep them separate, for this reason alone you should discard the idea.

So it will be possible, in principle, only possible in systems with liquid cooling and even then it would not be the best option.

In this case, we must make sure that you are not growing beyond the space and that the continuous temperature changes on the PC do not affect their health.
The best solution is to use artificial ones
Nothing prevents placing decorative elements inside the case of your PC to give it a personal touch. However, care must be taken that it does not affect the health of the components of our computer and, therefore, I ended up degrading it much more faster than usual. Of course, if you have an old PC tower that you are not going to use, you have to know that they are ideal for setting up a terrarium. If you opt for the solution of using artificial plants, you have to take into account that a greater number of components inside the box affect the air flow of the fans, so you must increase their revolutions per minute and with this your PC will make more noise.
Our final advice is simple, put stress on your PC either with high performance benchmark or with a game that has high requirements. All this without any element inside and see how it performs in terms of cooling. If it is capable of maintaining a respectable average temperature, it will mean that you can put artificial plants inside, of course, and that it does not affect its ability to dissipate heat.
