The 2024 edition of the IoT Solutions World Congresswhich will be held in Barcelona between May 21 and 13 of next yearwill gather around 400 exhibiting companies and 250 speakers experts from the sector, who will participate in 125 talks, meetings and conferences. It will take place at the Fira de Barcelona facilities, and expects to have more than 12,000 visitors.
This next edition of the event, which will be the eighth, will have as its main theme “Disruptive technologies for industry challenges”, and will bring its visitors closer to all kinds of developments in sectors such as IoT, Artificial Intelligence, digital twin, edge computing , augmented and virtual reality, 5G connectivity, renewable energy, cloud computing, analytics, Big Data and robotic process automation (RPA).
All activities that will take place at the event will be divided into four areas: Congress, Exhibition Area, Activities, and Security and Cybersecurity. The congress program, developed by the International Society of Automation, will focus on the four main challenges that the technologies that will be discussed at the event have to face: technology-driven transformation, climate change and sustainability, regulations and standards, and security and cybersecurity.
Among the experts who will participate in the sessions, talks and presentations of the internationally prestigious IoT Solutions World Congress 2024, are Jeff Winter, Director of Strategy. industrial manufacturing at Hitachi Sollutions; Soloman Almadi, Senior Engineering Consultant at Saudi Aramco; Ahmik Hindman, Senior Network and Security Consultant at Rockwell Automation; and Mark Kraeling, Solutions Architect at GE Transportation.
Among the 400 companies that will participate in the exhibition area are several of the main companies in the sector of the latest technologies and the Internet of Things, such as ABB, AWS, Digicet, Emnify, Faircom, KNX, iot squared, ST Microelectronics and Txone.
As for the Activities area of the event, it will include a test area in which real-world applications of cutting-edge technologies will be shown. There will also be a startup pavilion, which will feature recently created companies with technologies designed to revolutionize various areas of the industry.
It will also have an area dedicated to Women and diversity in the industry, which will promote inclusion and diversity in the technology sector. There will also be an area dedicated to promoting networking in a relaxed environment, the Garden.
The importance that the IoT Solutions World Congress 2024 gives to security and cybersecurity is evident, in addition to the dedication of an exclusive area, with the celebration within the framework of the Barcelona Cybersecurity Congress event. This is an event that is held every year, organized jointly with the Generalitat of Catalonia.
This event brings together prominent members of the world of cybersecurity with experts on the subject, with the aim of analyzing the current challenges of the sector and defining patterns for protection from cyber attacks in various sectors.
