The platform brings together physical and digital storage, scanning, processing in a single operation, providing transparency and agility on where physical and digital assets are located at all times. All this reduces the risks in the treatment of information, facilitates compliance with data protection and provides a centralized view of the information processed by AWS.

Iron Mountain InSight supports customers throughout their digital journey no matter where they are, whether they are starting to digitize physical assets or completely automating and transforming their business, including an intelligent digital mailroom powered by AI and machine learning (AI/ML). Using AWS AI/ML with Iron Mountain InSight, customers can extract text and data from scanned documents in more than 50 languages and in multiple file formats including PDF, TIFF, Microsoft Office, etc. The customer has the ability to extract the full value of data stored in Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3). AWS services that power the Iron Mountain InSight solution include Amazon Textract, Amazon Comprehend, Amazon Transcribe, and Amazon Rekognition.
