Lenovo boosts its AI infrastructure revenue to $2 billion

Lenovo has set a new record in its revenue from AI infrastructure: $2 billion of dollars. In addition, the company has taken the opportunity to reveal the next phase of its growth strategy, which contemplates an investment of 1,000 million dollars in three years to accelerate the deployment of AI for companies.

According to Kirk Skaugen, President of Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group«This significant investment further expands the development of AI-ready infrastructure solutions that will help customers overcome deployment complexities and more easily implement AI solutions so they can bring transformative products and services to market. As we continue to move toward our goal of becoming the world’s largest provider of end-to-end infrastructure solutions, Lenovo remains committed to being the most trusted partner and facilitating intelligent transformation for our customers by providing AI at the source of their data, at the perimeter«.

This investment will expand Lenovo’s portfolio of AI-enabled smart devices, infrastructure solutions and services. Of this, 100 million dollars will be for the development of the AI Innovators innovation program, which has already generated more than 150 AI solutions in its first year, created in combination with 45 independent software providers.

These solutions take AI from the lab to large-scale applications, to facilitate technological changes taking place in several high-growth industries, and allow you to take advantage of the advanced capabilities of this technology, such as generative AI, voice, virtual assistants and artificial vision systems.

The innovation program includes an ecosystem of software vendors collaborating with Lenovo to deliver customized, reliable AI solutions ready to deploy in customer operations.

On the other hand, Lenovo is also offering its AI solutions through TruScale Infrastructure as a Service, with the aim of providing the greatest possible flexibility. Lenovo’s new AI Discover Center of Excellence, meanwhile, offers access to AI to data scientists, engineers, and Artificial Intelligence architects. Everyone will be able to explore, deploy and scale AI solutions thanks to the options it makes available to them.

The service also guides customers to the most appropriate software partners for them, as well as the AI-optimized infrastructure that best suits them. Lenovo’s Responsible AI Committee also provides responsible advice and guidance on this technology. As companies learn to deploy it, the committee helps clients in their approaches to designing, deploying, and using AI ethically. Thus, the organizations that work with it can understand and respond to issues related to privacy, fair use, diversity, equality, inclusion and accessibility.

Today, Lenovo’s AI-ready infrastructure portfolio consists of more than 70 products, including several new AI-optimized server platforms. Among them is the perimeter server ThinkEdge SE360 V2which offers high GPU density in a small form factor and supports Intel Data Center GPU Flex Series platforms, Nvidia L4 Tensor Core GPU, Qualcomm Cloud AI 100, and the Nvidia AI platform.

Another of Lenovo’s new AI edge solutions is the Lenovo ThinkEdge SE350 V2, with Intel Xeon D processor; the platform ThinkSystem SR675 V3, custom built for AI with three server configurations in one and including support for Nvidia HGX 4-GPU systems, 4-DSW PCIe GPU servers, or 8-DW PCIe GPU servers in a compact 3U form factor. This latest platform is based on the OVS architecture and has up to eight Nvidia L40 GPUs.
