From Mecides they indicate that the countries that invest heavily in research and development They are the ones with the most competitive companies worldwide. It makes sense that these countries lead the world in terms of business innovation, as they are pushing to incorporate new solutions to society.

Request a Mecides: types of projects and financing lines
The financial impulses of Mecides are an instrument destined to the financing of research projects, development or technological innovation.
Mecides can be requested since March 2023 by any type of Spanish company that invests R+D+i through its website, whether in technology or software development, regardless of the size of the company, which is especially attractive for SMEs and startups.
The Spanish structurer alludes to a type of SME that “can and should” innovate. “We do not care if it is a third generation SME or a new one. They can count on Mecides to finance their projects. Our research companies develop research and technological innovation projects that produce a positive impact in Spain”.
Financing lines:
- IT PROJECT, Direct financing of 12% of the amount of the project The beneficiaries of this aid must be companies with projects of more than €500,000 TRL 6-7.
- R&D PROJECT, Direct financing of 25% on the amount of the project. The beneficiaries of these grants must be companies with projects of more than €300,000 TRL 1-5.
