Mini PC based on an AMD Ryzen processor is for less than €350

This system Chuwi LarkBox X It is a desktop computer based on the form factor Intel NUC. The power in this system is put by an AMD Ryzen 7 processor, which includes Vega architecture graphics. It has the possibility of expanding RAM and storage, as well as excellent connectivity.

Chuwi LarkBox X, small in size, big in performance

We have seen over the years how the integration of hardware has allowed more compact and powerful systems. The arrival of M.2 SSDs has made it possible to further reduce the thickness of laptops. We also see it in desktop computers, where it is no longer necessary to have a large tower that takes up an enormous amount of space.

This Chuwi mini PC stands out for integrating a AMD Ryzen 7 3750H processor. These processors belong to the Picasso family, based on the Zen+ architecture and the 12nm manufacturing process. It has a total of 4 cores and 8 threads working at a base frequency of 2.3 GHz and in Boost mode it reaches 4.0 GHz.

Also, this processor has quite powerful integrated graphics. Specifically, it has an iGPU AMD RX Vega 10which has 640 Stream Processors working at 1400 MHz. We cannot demand that this graphics card move the latest games on the market, but we will be able to play titles withor CS:GO, Fortnite, Minecraft or LoL without major problems.

Integrate this system in addition to a total of 8GB of DDR4 RAM in SODIMM format. We can expand it, since it has two slots that support up to 64 GB. It also has a unit 256GB M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSD of capacity manufactured by Kingston and we can replace it with a drive of up to 2TB.

The processor is quite good, the amount of RAM is within the current minimum, but it limps in storage, since 256 GB is really little.

Good connectivity and good cooling system

Something that we should always look at is the connectivity that any type of system offers us. The truth is that this Chuwi mini PC is not bad at all in this regard. To start with, it offers Wi-Fi 6 wireless connectivity, being able to play without the need for cables with low latency. It is something very interesting and that we must consider.

On the other hand, it has a good number of physical connection ports, both data and video. We have on the back of this system two USB 3.0 ports, while on the front we have two USB 3.0 ports and a USB-C DisplayPort compatible.

Not only this, in the back we have a port HDMI2.0 and a port DisplayPort, both compatible with 4K @ 60 Hz video, although this system, due to its graphics card, is designed for gaming in 1080p. Something surprising is that it has two 2.5 Gbps type RJ45 connectorswhich is impressive.

The cooling system by means of a powerful front fan located in the upper area. This fan draws air from the top and blows it out the back of the chassis. A very smart solution imported from laptops.

The truth is that this mini PC from Chuwi is spectacular, with an excellent quality/price ratio. We will be able to play any game in the eSports category without problems, obviously, a Cyberpunk 2077 or similar will not move us. The only defect is the storage unit, quite brief in our opinion.
