MINISFORUM NPB7, another good-level compact PC

MINISFORUM is one of the largest producers of Mini-PCs. A market segment that is becoming strong in the large group of desktop computers. The latest news from this Chinese specialist confirms the level increase with a MINISFORUM NPB7 model that uses the most advanced Intel processors.

The new model is very similar to the current NAB6 in chassis, design and connectivity. But it offers greater performance thanks to a Core i7-13700H processor that powers the high-end in laptops and that has 14 cores and 20 threads (6 cores for performance) and integrated 1.5GHz Intel Iris Xe graphics with 96 execution units, which can power up to four 4K monitors. Its TDP is 45 watts.

Another notable novelty is the use of DDR5 vs. DDR4 memory from the previous model. Includes two SODIMM slots for up to 64 GB of total dual-channel DDR5-5200 memory. Internal storage covers an M.2 2280 slot for PCIe 4.0 solid-state drives up to 2 Tbytes. It also features a 2.5″ bay to increase capacity with a SATA hard drive or SSD.

The MINISFORUM NPB7 has a special cooling system to handle the increase in temperatures. The manufacturer promises that updating and maintenance will be easy since the top cover can be removed without the need for any tool.

MINISFORUM NPB7 will be delivered in several versions, both in format barebones where the user contributes their own memory, storage, and operating system, such as in multi-level mounted configurations. The manufacturer has already listed it on its website for delivery in mid-May and with promoted launch prices starting from 489 dollars for a barebone and goes to 799 dollars with 64 Gbytes of memory and a 1 Tbyte capacity SSD.
