My iPhone wouldn’t turn on and this hotkey revived it

iphone

Few things can annoy us more in this connected world that we have had to live than finding that our phone does not turn on. if you have a iphone and it is just what is happening to you right now, we may have the solution. It turns out that there is a key combination apparently infallible that although it is not the panacea for all the ills of your Apple phone, it has managed, at least in my case, to make it revive when I already thought it was dead. Take note.

Why won’t my iPhone turn on?

There are several reasons why your iPhone may not turn on at a certain time and it will be difficult for you to know the origin of the problem. Even so, you should know that these are the most likely causes (and what you should do in each case):

  • The phone has stayed No battery: you will simply need to put its cable and plug it into a power outlet
  • Do you have a problem with software: it is about something generally temporary that has caused the blocking of the smartphone
  • Your problem is in hardware: you probably need technical assistance

In the first case, the screen itself will indicate, with the symbol of an empty battery, that what it needs to be charged is to turn it back on; not in the others, being the ideal moment to try the “magic” combination that is the protagonist of this article. And see if it works.

The key combination

The other day I found myself with the iPhone completely out of the picture: I was with the black screenIt didn’t respond to any key and when I connected it to a power outlet -although I knew it couldn’t be running out of battery- it didn’t react either (nor did it show me the empty battery symbol that we mentioned before).

So much so that before resorting to the technical service, I tried a combination of keys recommended by Manzana on his official page with which he could supposedly revive the phone and voila, it worked.

These are the steps to follow if after checking that your iPhone is not low on battery, it still does not turn on:

  • On an iPhone 8 or later (including iPhone SE (2nd and 3rd generation):
  1. Quickly press and release the volume up button
  2. Now press and quickly release the volume down button.
  3. Lastly, hold down the side button until you see the Apple symbol on the screen
  • On an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus:

In this case, you just have to press and hold the right side button and the volume down button until the Apple logo appears on the screen.

  • On iPhone 6s and earlier plus iPhone SE (1st generation)

On these models, what you have to do is hold down the home button and the side button or the top button until you see the Apple logo appear on the terminal screen.

In the event that this combination does not make it turn on either, we recommend that you take a look at this section of the apple or, failing that, consider going to a technical service to have it checked. Luck.
