Bryce Dallas Howard will direct the Navigator remake

Bryce Dallals Howard will not only direct the remake of the 1986 science fiction film, but will also be the producer along with John Swartz and Justin Springer.

The new film will this time feature a female lead and her arrival is expected on Disney + ‘s video on demand platform. Unfortunately, the remake information ends here.

The original film starred Joey Cramer, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Veronica Cartwright. The story follows a boy who has been traveling eight years into the future since 1978 and has an adventure with an intelligent and witty alien ship, named Max, originally voiced by Paul Reubens.

It is likely that the new film follows the plot of its predecessor, but is set in the present day.

This will also be the first time Bryce Dallas Howard will be directing a film of some importance but, given the excellent work done with The Mandalorian series, our hope is that something good will come out of it.
