While the sending of letters is becoming an increasingly rare and little used means of communication, in the Middle-earth that is there New Zeland some new fantastic ones have been launched postage stamps inspired by Peter Jackson’s film trilogy de The Lord of the Rings.
Official stamps from The Lord of the Rings arrive in New Zealand
The stamps were made to celebrate the 20th anniversary of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, which will fall by the end of the year and were made by the artist Sacha Lees, who not only worked on Jackson’s films, but also on another set of postage stamps made in the past by the New Zealand Postal Service.
The good news is that we can take a look at it directly below. The bad news is that we won’t be able to use them to post a letter, unless you live in New Zealand (but would you really do it with these works of art?).
