Nuclio closes 2022 with revenues of 50 million and aims to double it in 2023

Nuclio closed 2022 with some revenue of 50 million euros. The ecosystem dedicated to promoting high-growth startups and developing digital talent has improved 2022 results by 160%. By 2023, he hopes to reach the €100 million.

The Nuclio business group is made up of the 14 startups incubated in its venture builder, the digital business school Nuclio Digital School, the human resources consultancy Nuclio Talent, the business consultancy Nuclio Digital Plus, and its latest company, Nuclio Labs, a Toronto-based initiative to promote companies in the Web3 sector, based on technologies such as blockchain and Artificial Intelligence.

Through his venture builder, Nuclio co-founded five new startups in 2022 and achieved raise nine rounds of funding for a total value of 53 million euros, exceeding the 80 million accumulated capital obtained since its foundation. The creation of new startups and the growth of the Nuclio ecosystem generated 300 new jobs last year. Including the group’s startups (among which Housfy, GFAL or Kintai stand out) and the Nuclio brands, the group has reached 800 employees. Nuclio is already present in Madrid, Barcelona and Toronto, with plans to establish a headquarters in Latin America.

The founder and chairman of Nuclio, Charles Whitenotes that “This 2022 has been one of Nuclio’s fastest growing years. Despite the global macroeconomic situation and the decrease in general investment in the market, the companies in the group have been able to grow much more efficiently and are prepared to face the next 3 years, which are expected to see brutal growth throughout the digital ecosystem”.

Recently, the company has changed its previous headquarters in Barcelona, located in Pier01, for a new space on Calle Mèxic 3-19, adjacent to Plaza España. This office is located in the Espai Serrahima building and has 1,500 square meters and triple the capacity of the previous one, so it can accommodate the growing number of brands and startups in the ecosystem.

Nuclio’s managing partner, Ernest Sánchez, explains that “We are very satisfied with the progress made by the company over the last year, as we have grown the entrepreneurial ecosystem with the creation of new startups, jobs and other ambitious and disruptive projects such as Nuclio Labs. Our goal is to continue generating value professional, business and investor, not only locally but also globally”.

Startup incubation and acceleration

Nuclio Labs is a venture builder initiative dedicated to creating, incubating and accelerating startups in the Web3 sector. With offices in Barcelona and Toronto, Nuclio Labs aims to Launch four startups on the market in 2023 and connect with the Web 3 entrepreneurial ecosystem, both globally and locally, by opening Houses in key cities for the industry.

Also noteworthy is the launch of N Ventures 1, a €10 million fund to invest in the group’s startups, managed by Nekko Capital, through which €1.5 million has already been invested in its startups.

Among the new startups created in 2022, the first two established in Madrid stand out: Arediana, a health tech startup that looks after women’s health and well-being, and Fridom, a Web3 digital identity startup.
