Core i5-14600K at full power?
Although this version would be the most economical of the next generation of Intel processorsand which does not change its configuration compared to the previous one, since it continues with 14 cores (6 high-performance cores and 8 high-efficiency cores) we can observe a variation in terms of the power achieved.
And, in a performance test carried out with this CPU and using overclockit would have been possible to achieve the 5.7GHz, the highest clock speed achieved with this range of processors, and surpassing its predecessor 13600K. It should be noted that its original maximum frequency is 5.3 GHz, so the difference is notable, especially speaking of the i5 range, which would be the cheapest and with the lowest performance.
As to punctuationachieved 2,861 points in the single-core test and 17,974 points in the multi-core test.
This leads us to think that it is likely that this next generation, despite not seeming to bring with it a great change at a theoretical level, is possible that they will give us a surprise and all of them will be accompanied by a great improvement, greater than expected.
It would be great news and would leave us eager to see how far high-end processors are capable of going. Although for now we have to wait. These are results that have appeared in tests of Geekbenchbut we also do not have more data on what configurations it was made with, at what temperature, and other factors that could greatly influence the result.
We have nothing left to be able to test them for ourselves, so, for now, we are left with this good news, waiting to carry out tests in person and be able to provide better data. Hopefully its price and performance are as desired, since we could talk about a greater change than what the first information gave us.
We were quite pessimistic about this new generation, we did not see a change in power at the level of a new generation, and, therefore, a waste of money to update our CPUs. However, with the data we are obtaining and seeing, things are changing. Let’s hope it’s not a false alarm and that all of this really comes true.
