The most popular photo editing software is without a doubt Photoshop. But since Adobe forced its users to pay a subscription for this application a few years ago, many of us have “migrated” to other software that has nothing to envy Photoshop, and that you only have to make a single payment for life .
One of those apps is Pixelmator Pro. Now it has just been updated to version 3.1 with new and interesting features, such as compatibility with macOS Ventura, and support for AVIF files.
The popular photo editing app Pixelmator Pro has a new update available (version 3.1) that adds support for macOS Ventura and the ability to work with AVIF files.
It also includes a new, faster document opening experience and a new soft corner style with options to adjust the radius of the image corners.
Pixelmator Pro is now fully compatible with macOS Ventura, this year’s new macOS released by Apple a few days ago. Users can multitask with Stage Manager to switch between Pixelmator Pro windows or other applications, display document previews, etc.
In this new version the opening of documents has been improved. Performance improvements allow users to preview and open Pixelmator Pro documents faster than previous versions.
Another novelty of Pixelmator Pro 3.1 is the support for AVIF. AVIF, or AV1 Image File Format, next-generation image formats designed to produce high-quality images for the web with reduced file sizes.
If you already have Pixelmator Pro installed on your Mac, upgrading to version 3.1 is completely free. If not, you can purchase Pixelmator Pro from the Mac App Store with a one-time payment of €47.99.
