Support appears to have several accounts in the same installation of WhatsApp

WhatsApp seems to be willing to step on the accelerator to the maximum so as not to give even the slightest chance to its rivals, starting with the also popular Telegram. Yesterday we heard about the introduction of messages in video format of up to sixty seconds, now we find out that those responsible for the instant messaging service are introducing support for multiple accounts within the same installation of the application.

In the last update of the beta branch of the Android application, specifically version 2.23.13.5 aimed at companiesit has been discovered that those responsible for WhatsApp are working to run multiple accounts in a single instance of the app. The origin of the discovery leaves it in the air whether the feature will eventually reach all users of the service or only those of the business version, but seeing how the competition is, it would be logical to think that it will reach everyone, even if it is staggered.

In WaBetaInfo, a medium that has discovered the feature of multiple accounts in the same installation of WhatsApp through the beta branch of the version of the application aimed at companies, they have shared a screenshot in which the presence of two accounts can be seen, one with the name of the medium itself and another with the initials of the words attached to it.

Support of multiple accounts in the same installation of WhatsApp for Android

WaBetaInfo explains that there will be a menu that will allow users to select which account they want to log in with. When an additional account is set up for the first time, it will be stored on the device until the user decides to log out, so it is possible to switch between accounts at will.

Among the features derived from the build tested by WaBetaInfo, users will be able to manage personal conversations, work-related discussions, and other social interactions without the need for multiple app installations. Such a separation should guarantee privacy and allow notifications to be managed efficiently. And although this is not yet confirmed, everything indicates that the door will be opened for said multi-account support to also be multi-device, something that has already been implemented in the mass-oriented version of WhatsApp.

As we have already said, since support for multiple accounts has been introduced in the beta branch of the application aimed at companies, it is up in the air when it will be deployed in a general way for everyone, and that if it happens one day. Whatever the final result, it is undeniable that WhatsApp does not live comfortably in its leadership and that it will continue to introduce new features that give more value to the service.
