The company specialized in business intelligence, OGA, arrives in Extremadura

The technology company OGA arrives in Extremadura. The company specialized in the field of data-driven business intelligence expands its face-to-face implementation and the promotion of research, with the opening of a branch in the Knowledge Center of Cáceres. It has signed agreements with the University of Extremadura and the Extremadura Science and Technology Park Foundation to establish a research and development group for optimization and artificial intelligence solutions in the Garage 2.0 Building, and to provide training to students from the Polytechnic School of the extreme university.

The director of OGA, Juan Carlos Rubio, and the rector of the University of Extremadura, Antonio Hidalgo García, have signed a collaboration and cooperation agreementwith a duration of four years, extendable for another four years, to strengthen the educational cooperative, the international mobility of its students and teachers, research and development activities, and the dissemination of information with said academic institution.

Garage 2.0

OGA, whose headquarters are in Seville, and which also operates from Malaga, Madrid, London and New York, has opened an office in the Garaje 2.0 Building in the capital of Cáceres, where the European Center for Business and Innovation in Extremadura (CEEI) is based. It is an old superphosphate warehouse that has been rehabilitated as a space for the creation of intellectual capital in which companies dedicated to innovation, knowledge, imagination, technology and/or culture collaborate with each other and participate in joint projects.

The Garage 2.0, with its industrial architecture and its luminosity, includes in its facilities The Innovation Factory, with more than 800 square meters, which includes eight fully equipped rooms, intended for companies such as OGA, selected for its innovative dimension, and institutions and entities of that nature, experiment, improve and spread their products and services related to knowledge and new technologiesin a collaborative environment, using new forms of interaction with customers and potential users.

OGA’s business initiative has a marked innovative component, endorsed by its track record, its certifications (it obtained the Innovative Base SME certificate in 2019), the granting of different R&D projects with public funding from public bodies such as the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI), attached to the Ministry of Science and Innovation (with two projects awarded in recent years), and by its own definition, purpose, internal team, collaborations and agreements, technologies involved and business model.

The Regional Government, the Extremadura Scientific and Technological Park Foundation (Fundecyt – Pctex), the provincial councils of Cáceres and Badajoz, and the Cáceres city council are involved in the European Center for Business and Innovation in Extremadura.
