The Lenovo 13w Yoga debuts the Ryzen 7000 in convertibles

Lenovo has presented this week a group of new Chromebooks for the educational segment, but also other computers for Windows, which in the same way will be available in consumer channels. The most interesting is the Lenovo 13w Yoga Gen 2 for launching the new generation of AMD processors, Ryzen 7000.

Like the entire Yoga series, this model is a convertible with 360 degree hinge to increase its versatility of use for different tasks, from laptop to tablet. Lenovo mounts a multitouch IPS screen with 13.3 inches and native resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels in an interesting 16:10 aspect ratio. It supports active stylus pens and features Corning Gorilla Glass protection layer.

As we said, this model debuts the new AMD processing platform for laptops, the Ryzen 7000 Mobile announced at CES. The specific model has not been defined and if they will be the new models with ZEN4 architecture. In any case, they are competent processors for this type of convertible.

You can equip up to 16 GB of DDR4-3200 MHz memory and a PCIe SSD of up to 512 Gbytes. In addition to Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5, it has a good number of ports:

  • 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C
  • 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A
  • 1 x HDMI 2.0
  • 3.5mm audio jack
  • SD card reader

The Lenovo 13w Yoga has a 1080p webcam with a privacy shutter, which can optionally be equipped with an IR sensor for security tasks through Windows Hello and on the back it mounts another 5MP camera for taking pictures and video. It has stereo speakers with Dolby support, a backlit keyboard and a fingerprint sensor on the power button.

Its battery has a capacity of 51 Wh for a total weight contained in 1.45kg, which is not bad for a convertible that is also certified for MIL-STD-810H endurance tests. It preinstalls Windows 11 and should be available this quarter. Its price line must be in the low band of Yoga convertibles, one of the most appreciated in the industry.
