The new startups of Madrid Food Innovation Hub are officially presented

The Madrid food business incubator, Madrid Food Innovation Hub, has started the new year by presenting the 12 startups selected for the new edition of its Incubation Program for Packaged Food and Beverages. It is a 12-week program, totally freeaimed at those projects that are developing packaged food and beverage products applying new technologies during formulation and/or production, which may be accompanied by the development of new business models in the digital field.

The program seeks to promote and strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem with these new startups, whose proposals focus on obtaining more sustainable products and packaging, food or beverages with a positive effect on health, products with an improved nutritional composition, ready-to-eat or easy-to-prepare foods and beverages. The selected startups must have the ambition to revolutionize the sector and have a very clear focus on the commercial viability of the projects and their contribution to the industry, with a real impact on the economy and society.

The Councilor for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, angel childcongratulated the selected startups and applauded that “Madrid Food Innovation Hub continues to consolidate itself as a meeting point for all players in the agri-food scene, especially emerging companies.” “The projects that are starting within the sector, in the phase in which they find the most difficulties in their path, they know that they have a pioneering center in Madrid at their entire disposal and a team of excellent professionals who are going to help them develop in all areas”, he added, recalling that there are already dozens of startups that have benefited from the different Hub programs and who describe their experience as “very positive and fundamental in their growth”.

During the program, the startups will receive theoretical and practical sessions, personalized tutorials to advance in the development of their project, mentorship sessions with experts, unlimited access to the center facilities, both the coworking space and the laboratory kitchen where they will carry out tests. of concept, and will end the program with demo daypresenting their projects to potential investors.

The selected startups provide creative and effective solutions to the challenges of the sector and new consumer trends, especially in terms of sustainability and nutrition.
