Just yesterday, we published an article in which we talked about the expected renewal of the 27-inch iMac, an iMac that would have entered the production phase and that would implement a screen with miniLED technology. However, according to DigiTimes, this new iMac, It will not adopt this technology and will continue to post for the LCD.

In this way, Apple will continue to bet on the same panel as so far has been implemented in previous versions, if this news is finally confirmed, since the DigiTimes hit rate, it is not very prolific to say.

In the publication they state that, although the latest rumors suggested that Apple intended to implement a miniLED display (a rumor that has been circulating for several months), finally it will not be like that.

DigiTimes claims that according to its supply chain sources, the Cupertino-based company will continue betting on LED technology.

In this way, DigiTines refutes the information that panel analyst Ross Young, stated this month in which they pointed out that the new 27-inch iMac would have a screen with miniLED technology and support for ProMotion.

Initial rumors surrounding an upgrade to the larger iMac indicated that Apple was planning increase the screen size of this iMac up to 32 inches.

Those rumors have disappeared and everything indicates that will still keep the same size, but with a new design, similar to the 24-inch iMac in April of this year.

What, at the moment, no one seems to deny, is that Apple’s idea is to use the same range of colors on the new 27-inch iMac that we can currently find in the 24-inch model.

The 27-inch iMac revamp is planned, initially for the spring 2022, between the months of March and April.
