To be able to type and / or play efficiently, the Epomaker NT68 can be placed directly on top of the integrated keyboard of laptops, allowing you to keep the touchpad close at hand in case you want to use it. It doesn’t matter if you are using a PC with Windows or with MacOSSince this wireless mechanical keyboard has a shortcut via the Fn + W / E key combination that allows you to change the keyboard layout between Windows and Mac.
Epomaker NT68, a wireless mechanical keyboard designed for everyone
In addition to being able to switch between the Windows and Mac formats, if the user has specific preferences, they can always install the keyboard software to be able to reassign their keys according to their personal preferences. The keyboard has internal memory that allows you to store up to 3 profiles, which allows you to configure it in three different ways to use it on three different devices (the software will only have to use it once because then the profiles are saved in the memory of the device). Remember that it is a wireless mechanical keyboard and that as such it can be combined with PCs, laptops, tablets and even smartphones.
Additionally, the NT68 comes with a folding magnetic case which also works as a support depending on the needs on each occasion. By folding the case to create a 45º angle triangular holder, a tablet and / or smartphone can be easily attached to it. Plus, the keyboard features adjustable RGB LED backlighting, which ensures you can see what you’re doing even in low-light conditions.
To better suit the needs of work and play wherever you are, the NT68 offers both wired and wireless connectivity modes, and even allows three devices to be connected simultaneously. As we have mentioned before, we are facing a wireless mechanical keyboard that, in this case, has switches Gateron Regular and manufacturer’s proprietary Chocolate switches.
If you are a fan of the DIY world, you can also replace the switches with other 3/5 pins without problems. Regarding compatibility, these switches are low profile but normal Cherry MX type switches can be installed as long as they have 3/5 pins.
Price and availability
The Epomaker NT68 launched yesterday on Kickstarter; The early bird price starts at $ 89 and $ 95 depending on how rushing you are, and both prices have a limited amount of services on a first-come, first-served basis. Additionally, the keyboards are available in two versions, one with low-profile switches and one with regular switches.
It is worth mentioning that at the time of writing these lines, the project has already raised about 64,000 euros of the 8,500 that they needed to finance the campaign, so although there are still 34 days to achieve it, they have already achieved the necessary funding and, therefore, Therefore, it is something that will come out ahead.
