Tom Holland shares how he ruined an epic moment for the MCU

Avengers: Endgame was a pivotal film for superhero lovers, the conclusion of an epic that began in 2008 with Iron Man. But this very solemn moment was visibly upset by a certain little spider known for its propensity to blunder.

In 2019, Avengers: Endgame comes to close the infinity saga and its main narrative arc. The film directed by Joe and Anthony Russo sounds like a farewell to several iconic characters in the universe, starting with Captain America who will retire after fighting Thanos. The writers had also increased the pressure in each part, by integrating references to key moments in the comics.

Among the most anticipated sequences, the famous “Avengers: Assemble!” holds a good place. Pronounced by Chris Evans during the great battle, the phrase created the jubilation of spectators in movie theaters. An epic moment, which could have turned sour according to Tom Holland who plays Peter Parker. He explains to Rotten Tomatoes that he almost ruined the streak during filming.

“Love this year in Endgame, with this amazing shot Captain America grabs the hammer and says ‘Avengers Gathering!’ But since Chris was four or five in front of me the directors told me I had to load the enemy as soon as he spoke his words. I couldn’t hear him and he said ‘Aveng ..’ and I shouted “arrrrrrg” and started running on my own. I walked about 9 meters and had to turn around and come back in front of all the heroes from my childhood saying ‘sorry guys I was wrong’. ”

Tom Holland will have more opportunities to go wrong

Currently showing Spider-Man: No Way Home, Tom Holland is not going to hang up the costume yet. The British actor is announced to appear in Spider-Man 4, currently in development at Marvel and Sony. He is also expected to get a head in one or more Marvel films, depending on the contract between the two companies.
