Square Enix announced that a Role playing game set in the world of tomb Raider is in development from their studio. The new game will be released on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the birth of the franchise it sees Lara Croft as the protagonist.

Tomb Raider RPG announced by Square Enix
The project of Lara Croft’s Tomb Raider (this is the name of the next role-playing game) was born a long time ago. According to the announcement of Square Enix, in fact, the title was born as a project of the Senior Technical Designer of SE Matthew Gaston, who thought it up for the first time in 2007. The game would be in the internal playtest phase since 2009.
In the footsteps of the beautiful heroine born of video games, players will explore ancient sites in search of information and artifacts – guided by the campaign created by the Raid Master. The focus of the game will be on knowledge, languages and investigative skills combined with action-oriented skills to trace the true spirit of the Tomb Raider franchise.

The regulation and the first campaign will be made available by Square Enix before the end of the year and, as we understand from the press release, free of charge: “as a gift for our fans”.
