Valve publishes the 226 games you can play with your Steam Deck

February 25 is the date marked on the calendar where Valve will begin to deliver the first pre-orders (also called purchase invitations) for the most demanded console on the market at its premiere. Only those who made the pre-order can opt for this, after which they will have 3 days to formalize the purchase, that is, it will only be available until February 28 and after that we do not know what will happen to the sales for everyone who did not reserve. In the meantime, keep an eye on the games, because the list is much larger.

This will be the Steam Deck Verified status on Steam

Once again the Steam database has revealed the company’s work in silence, where there are also certain changes in Steam, in the platform itself for all players. Now, Valve will announce in each game a new state called as Steam Deck Verified (if necessary obviously) where within each title and in a specific section it will indicate said compatibility.

These changes are not visible yet and it may take time, mainly because the number of games is huge, so for now you have to continue accessing the Steam DB to check in your search engine title by title. The problem here is that there is no easy list to see, for example, in alphabetical order, which would make the task much easier and faster.

This will more than likely end up being implemented, but now what matters most is specifying which parts are verified, which parts are playable, and which games are supported. This can be difficult to understand, because each game obtains one of the three certifications, but within each one certain details are also specifically specified, such as the interface text, controls or external gamepads.

A list that will be constantly expanded: 226 games for Steam Deck

Once the current news has been explained, it must be added that there are a total of 266 games tested by the team of beta testers and Steam engineers, where, as happened last time, the classification continues to be verified games, playable games and non-compatible games, giving an impressive count such that:

  • Verified Games: 116
  • Playable Games: 110
  • Unsupported games: 40

This does not have the incompatibilities or various problems that are marked as information within each game, hence a simple list is not offered and everything within each game is pointed out.

It is best to use the search engine that they offer and review each title that we are going to play, because the validated options and problems vary completely from one game to another.
