Post-apocalyptic worlds work and AppleTV+ well you know. That is why he has not hesitated to bet on a new dystopian story, Silo, a series that will see the light in just a couple of months. We show you its trailer, we tell you what its exciting plot is about and everything you need to know so that your hype goes up little by little.
A terrifying future… underground
The story of Silo is based on a saga of well-known novels in the US (although not as popular as others, of course) by the American writer Hugh Howey. In total there are seven books that make up the Silo ChroniclesSo, although we don’t know which volumes the first season of the Apple TV+ series specifically covers, we can venture that we have a plot for a while.
Silo tells us the story of a future in which our planet has been enveloped by a toxic atmosphere incompatible with human life. For this reason, a underground silo of stratospheric dimensions and divided into levels in which people now live and work, dividing society by new and strict hierarchies. The order and rhythm continues its course underground until someone breaks the taboo and announces that he is going to do what is never, under any circumstances, allowed: go outside.
With certain reminiscences to the graphic novel of The Transperceneige (from which the film and the series later came out snowpiercer Netflix), the Apple TV+ series is written by Graham Yost and directed by Morten Tyldum. Rebecca Ferguson (Dune) is the protagonist of the story, along with Tim Robbins (top gun, The brink), Rashida Jones (The Social Network) and David Oyelowo (Spooks), among other actors of the large cast of this science fiction.
Trailer and release date of Silo
The history It sounds good but, without a doubt, the adaptation that Apple TV + has made looks much better. You already know that the company has opted to make fewer productions than its competitors but with a higher budget and care and, of course, we already saw a good example with the adaptation that it has made of the ambitious Fundación series.
Silo seems to follow that roadmap in style and modus operandi Or, at least, that’s what we can think after seeing his first video preview that looks spectacular. He trailer It lasts just over a minute and a half and gives us a very good idea of what we’re going to enjoy on TV when it hits the apple streaming platform -it’s in English but you can activate the subtitles and you’ll see that it helps you understand it quite well.
The Serie Silowhich was unofficially known during its production as wool (name of the first book in the saga), will be released on the Apple TV+ platform next May 5th, in almost 2 months. I’m sure before then, we’ll have another sneak peek with new images so if you’re interested, don’t go too far. We will be here attentive to tell you everything.
