The Weather application on your iPhone has stopped working since this morning? You are not the only one: the whole world seems impacted by this problem. If the latter opens well, it no longer displays any information, regardless of the configured location. Apple would plan to correct the problem within a few days.
Update at 5:35 p.m.:
While the problem of the application is still not solved for many users several hours after the appearance of the first testimonies, our colleagues from MacRumors report that it will take several days before the problem is resolved. Apple would indeed be urgently preparing the deployment of the iOS 16.4.1 update which will correct this bug, as well as others reported by users. This version may not arrive until next week.

Either way, you’ve surely grabbed your iPhone to check out its Weather app. And there is the drama: no information is displayed on your screen. Rest assured: you are not alone.
“There weather report of the’iPhone lately she seems to be on strike”, a user on Twitter has fun. Indeed, it seems that the problem is generalized. Even across the Atlantic, users are not spared. According to several media, the problem would be on the side of Apple’s data provider which, obviously, has stopped providing said data.

The problem therefore seems global and does not only affect France. Similarly, all Apple devices are affected, whether iPhone, iPad, MacBook and Apple Watch. The Cupertino company has also confirmed that there is a problem on its site dedicated to the support of iOS applications. Weather appears in yellow, but the site indicates that the service is only unavailable in Alaska “due to data provider failure”.
Note that if at the time you discover these lines, the application still refuses to work, there is a temporary solution. Indeed, it is possible to deactivate the WiFi, to close the application, then to reopen it in 4 G mode. The concern surely coming from the Apple Weather API, this technique would make it possible to circumvent the latter. We will let you know when everything is back to normal.
