Windows 11 will improve the display of images

Microsoft keep trying to add new features and improvements to Windows 11. This is understandable, since they need to make it more attractive to accelerate its adoption by all those users who are still using previous versions, mainly Windows 10. During the last months it seemed that its growth was slow but sure, but the data from the last Steam’s monthly survey revealed a striking change in trend that, surely, must not have been funny in Redmond.

It is also understandable that many users feel more comfortable on Windows 10 than on Windows 11. The former is, thanks to its evolution over time, tremendously stable and therefore reliable, while Windows 11 still surprises us from time to time with problematic updates. It is true that staying in this version means giving up the most interesting news of the Microsoft operating system, but in the balance between news and reliability, there are many who opt for the latter.

Therefore, Microsoft has, at the same time, to improve the reliability of the updates, which in turn passes to the accumulated reliability of the operating system itself, and also to add improvements to Windows 11 with which to cajole those who still maintain it. (we remain) in Windows 10 so that they can (give) the leap, and the latest news about it, the truth is that can play a very interesting role in that sense.

Windows 11 will improve the display of images

Microsoft has just announced, on its blog for Windows Insiders, the Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 23435 compilation, which is currently available for users of the Dev channel. In it we can find some interesting news and the solution to several problems, but without doubt the most interesting is the new Gallery feature, added to the browser, offers a unique improvement in viewing images in Windows 11.

As you can see in the image above, the appearance of Windows Explorer adapts its interface to offer a more comfortable navigation through the user’s photo archive. If its design looks familiar to you, it is normal, since this new interface takes quite a few elements from the Photos app, already present in both Windows 10 and Windows 11, but which does not have much popularity among many users. With this change that can improve substantially.

the new gallery integrates with OneDrive Camera Roll Backup, so that the last photos taken with the mobile will be displayed at the top of it. In addition, it will be possible to choose which folders are displayed in the gallery via the Collection dropdown menu, as well as add subfolders of existing sources to filter a subset of their content, such as wallpapers and imports from memory cards and cameras.
